clutch-gear shaft frozen stuck

Just finished the swingarm maint/repacking. Noticed my chainguard (12053-1360 / GUIDE-CHAIN,DRIVE,FR) has a goodly sized chunk taken out of it. http://www.tonyjones.com/klr/chainguard.jpg Is this from a poorly adjusted chain? I was looking at how it fits onto the swingarm trying to figure out where in the swingarm travel the problem was but couldn't quite figure it out. A new one looks to be $22 from Ron Ayers but is there a more durable aftermarket one available? Couldn't see anything at Arrowhead. Tony

Hehehehe. I actually saw "Formtech Services (formerly Dirtly) Polyurethane chain guides" in the FAQ and went to the webpage but it said it was for graphic arts supplies. I guess I didn't dig deeply enough before posting.... hmmn, the dirtly.com webpage is odd too. I guess I'll have to e-mail them, but yes, from the looks of the twowheelwandering pics, it's exactly what I want. I should check my rear guide too, see if that needs replacing. Maybe the Scott oiler tubing will stick better to it than to the stock

Hi Tony, I also noted the link was a tad odd, and never really told you how to buy the slider. If you get it figured out, out to get this product if it is actually available, let me know. I think I will order it for a spare, based on the wear on my bike. revmaaatin.

Hi Kurt, How did you get to where the slider is actually offered. Maybe I am missing something here? Sometimes I am unable to see the obvious...Is it obvious where the slider-for-sale is located? revmaaatin.
