klr battery life

Is there an alternate source for a 650 KLR Thermostat. I thought I saw one. Ron Ayers @ Bike Bandit are about $35 with shipping. I also thought I saw an alternate source for radiator hoses using a Toyot part number to provide the basic material. I need a new thermostat and all new hoses. This '98 is turning into a money pit.

Jim, My Westco battery is great at holding a charge. They are often used for emergency power on surgical tables and such. One use and they are disposed of I think. My Westco probably went 9 months of no use or charge and was still at 12.6vdc.
