I have been hoping to find some aftermarket plastics for the KLR too but I am afraid no one makes any that I have ever found. This guy (see site below) says a Acerbis/KTM/Husaberg front fender will fit if you just enlarge the holes a bit "I swaped the black KTM fender for a Silver one. Silver fender KTM p/n 5030801010090 from 1998-2002 125 - 520cc SX and EXC lines of KTM Motocross and Enduro Bikes." http://www.the-larkins.com/kawasaki_klr_650.htm YOu can get 'em in black, silver & ornage too I'd assume and the shape is a lot more interesting that the stock on the KLR. I am planning to paint my KLR this winter (93 with blue/white). Paint her balck and put that black fender on and hope for the best. THe Krylon Fusion is supposed to work well as long as it never comes in contact with gas or other solvents. I'll use Fusion only on the plastics, many layers and lots of clearcoat too. I'll snad down and poaint the tank with regualr metal paint & clearcoat that too. You can get several different mini fairings with lights too that attach to the forks but taht's it. Side panels and rear fender are stock or nothing (or custom fabrication ? Good luck Josh

hey does anybody know who or where I could find some cool aftermarket plastics for my KLR, mainly the front fender, fairing, and handguards. I heard that Acerbis' could be made to fit, but is there any taht go directly on the front tire, like the tengai style? Basically because the stock plastics don't quite do it for me. thanks.

It's their fault they havent sent out threatening letters to stop direct knock-offs of their products from being produced. It's their fault they can't afford a patent lawyer to argue their case. Conall, let me be more direct. I think you should man up, cowboy up, whatever term you want to use.. and take those links and banners off your site and stop supporting that company!!! Stop making excuses trying to justify what they are doing. What they are doing is wrong. It costs EVERYONE money, from Tim Bernard and the other manufacturers of the 'originals' all the way down to Fred who sells these first rate products through his company. I am done on this topic for now unless there are any future replies. There is no justification, what they are doing is illegal and immoral. If you are a person with even the least bit of integrity you will distance yourself from them. If you continue promoting them you are not one bit better than they are.
