I was wondering if anyone out there has ran the Cheng Shin C858 Dual
Sport 5.10-17 rear tire on their KLR. Tread design looks good, and
the
price is right.Just wondering how they handled and how they did
milage
wise.My mula la verde(green mule) is going to need some new shoes
soon. Thanks for any info. Ken McDonald, Katy Tx.

cheng shin tires
Chen Shinis aren't all that popular. The Kenda 270 looks pretty similar,
gets good revues and is about the same price. I've got the 270 front and am
quite pleased. I just ordered a Kenda 761 from swmototire for $54. This is
more street oriented than the 270 baut still pretty aggressive looking.

Good morning. Try this. It should be read with a grain of salt.

The Book Two Wheels Through Terror

Here's a short excerpt from Two Wheels Through Terror
ON THE ROAD IN SOUTH AMERICA
November 6, 2001 Bogot , Colombia
What was amazing this morning was how everything began so normal.
Departing Bogot was like riding out of any major Latin American
metropolitan area. There were smooth intersecting multi-lane freeways,
modern restaurants and toll plazas with armed guards crouched behind
sandbag bunkers. Even though I have received assurances the road ahead
is safe, I am still uneasy over the upcoming ride to Medellin. Under the
friendly surface, Colombia is still locked in a culture of violence.
