Bike has a K&N paper filter that is clean and I have
put a new spark plug. The old plug did not look bad.

Gas will not flow from the tank to the carburetor unless the engine
is running and the vacuum hose on the petcock is hooked up.

I have never checked compression on a healthy KLR but with 9.5:1 ratio, I think 120 psi is
kinda low. I would expect 150 or better.

The KACR (Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release?) causes trouble
when trying to get a compression reading on these things.

If with that for a compression test I'd be wondering what a leak down test
would show. It sounds like a tired engine.
