Bike has a K&N paper filter that is clean and I have put a new spark plug. The old plug did not look bad. --- Chris Jennings wrote:

Gas will not flow from the tank to the carburetor unless the engine is running and the vacuum hose on the petcock is hooked up.

I have never checked compression on a healthy KLR but with 9.5:1 ratio, I think 120 psi is kinda low. I would expect 150 or better. Rick A17 Michael Koch wrote: Gas will not flow from the tank to the carburetor unless the engine is running and the vacuum hose on the petcock is hooked up.

The KACR (Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release?) causes trouble when trying to get a compression reading on these things. -- Doug Herr doug@...
