are all balencer tensioners fragile

Post by andrewshowering » Wed Dec 29, 2004 4:02 am

I am now the proud owner of a 2003 KLR 650. (after years of fireblades). My previous KLR spat me off when i had a balencer tensioner failure. My Question is - do I need to do any mod to my 2003 KLR or has kawasaki sorted the problem. (i am aware of bracket upgrades) Regards Andrew UK KLR650 A model owner

No factory fix has been reported. Especially an 03 is SOS. --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "andrewshowering" wrote:

Exactly. On tight, technical trails I can usually outrun dirt bikes with my mountain bike and in the really tight stuff I can outrun the mountain bikes on foot. When the going gets rough weight is everything, which is a KLR advantage on the road and disadvantage on the trail.
