cracked exhaust pipe

I am having the same trouble with mine. I don't believe it is the carb. I did the same thing. Check your spark if it is bad it is probably the CDI/Igniter. If the spark is weak check the CDI and the Ignition coil. I was told weak spark from the CDI to the ignition coil increases the resistance in the coils. Right now I am saving my money to buy the CDI. It is very expensive ($322-$422).

Mine cracked in a similar manner on my '88 a few years ago. The gas station where I get my bike inspected welded it for me for $10.00. Mark
