a-17 for sale or trade ? re "a#" associations
IN reading from the KLR650 FAQ; Quote:
What is this "An" people keep mentioning?
This is a letter code that indicates the submodel and year of the bike.
"A" bikes are for the US market, B is the Tengai, and C is the
Canadian/European model. The number represents the year of manufacture,
with 1 as the first year. An "L" at the end of an A designation means
that it is a California bike (with a smog cannister). The first year of
the A model was 1987, so an A5L is a 1991 California-spec US bike.
I figured out that my 98 would be an A16? But in this listing the
association of an A-17 is to a 2003?
Will some one please explain this to me?
Thanks

Yeah, I know, I don't want to sell it, but this Texas heat is
killing me with full riding gear, and I won't ride without it. I
have this '03 model, great shape with new D-604's, Kawasaki high
windshield, tank bag, soft saddlebags, JC Whitney trunk, custom
built guards for the bags, throttle lock, just a nice bike with a
couple small scratches. Not beat to death, I used this mostly on
the street and highways, back and forth to work. 5900 miles, with 3
oil changes and dealer service. I have a clear Oregon title, but
the bike is currently in Texas City, TX, about 45 miles South of
Houston.
Looking to get around $3800, but will be reasonable, or I'll trade
up for a nice Jeep Wrangler. E-mail me off list if interested, I
can send pics of anything you might want to see.

v30 carb
Thank you. I will try that when I try to install the carb again. I
was wondering if there was some trick to make those grommet things
more pliable. I tried oil but it wasn't enough.
