At 68 years old I find that my new 2004 KLR 650 is too tall for me. I
guess I fell for the "second most popular bike around the world" story.
The babied bike has only 700 miles, and never been down, scratched,
dented, exposed to the rain, or dirt. Perfect, flawless and 100% stock.
I've only had it for about a month and it can be yours for only $4495
(my loss, your gain). Wisconsin location, nice summer ride.

You can get 3" lowering links from Scooterworks, if it is worth the
bother. I'm no spring chicken either, and I ended up putting the 1.5"
links in, and they made a world of difference. I suffer from a 29"
inseam, so I come under the heading of "Vertically challenged" , and at
66 I am in your general area for longevity too.
On another topic altogether, the Alberta 2000 runs today, (and
tomorrow), starting at 1900 we go for a 2000 km run, back at about 1900
Saturday. This is the 5th time I've started it, (finished the first
four), and the second on the KLR. Major mods are Michelin ANAKEE tyres,
16 tooth sprocket, and a 9" windshield, also heated grips. OEM seat, for
those interested.
Have a good weekend.
