ufo twins headlight

Post by bkowalca » Tue Aug 12, 2003 9:43 am

Has anybody installed a UFO Twin headlight on the KLR? I am looking at getting the light to move with the bars, reducing the weight up front, getting better lighting and making the bike look better. I think the UFO light could fit the bill if it performs well and can fit with the stock instruments. Bryan K A14

I have been pondering the same thing, but I can't imagine that the beam pattern from those tiny spots is going to be any better than the OEM headlight. That and they're not DOT approved FWIW. I know that Devon is running an Acerbis mini fairing with a single DOT headlight, and I am pretty sure that Gino used to have the UFO dual beam setup on his, maybe they can comment on their nighttime efficacy? I would love to mount up a set of the dual projector lights that Touratech makes for the R1150GS. Those or the dual HID lights from Baja Designs that Johnny Campbell uses on his Baja bike ;) Z DC A5X A12X

My KLR keeps having issues where the headlight and tailight quit working. The only thing I can think of is a short somewhere. Anybody else had this problem?? I keep checking the fuses but don't know what else it can be. Brian 90' Klr 650
