Having had one of these beasts, I can tell you they were weird and wonderful, but an absolute PIA to work on. I am convinced that the Yamaha 850 twin was never designed to be worked on by motral hands. This was recently posted on the V-Strom list ....

Oh yeah, go do a CBX tune up. Carb sync and valve lash should only take up most of the riding season. That is why I like them. Cause everyone else on this planet HATES them.... Dan /|\

Hey, knock yourself out. I'd rather be riding anyway. Besides, real bikes don't have 6 cylinders :-) Gino

DurtyDabbers in MillHall is June 1&2 this year: http://www.durtydabbers.com/dualsportform.htm AND there's the Seven Mountains DualSport on June 23: http://www.pamall.net/patra/events/events3.html REMEMBER: Organized dualsport events offer something for everyone with trails for all skill levels and bike sizes! Come out for the scenery, food, comradery and plain ol' fun! Lemme know if you're gonna be at any of these rides. Mark B2 A2 A3
