Well, I see that Yahoo! now has *both* the "click to continue" AND
the banner on the side of the message advertisement.

I hate it, but I still think it is a fair trade to get all the
 features of a free list.

If you notice though the only ads we are seeing are Yahoo ads. I was
the one who wrote to I-motors and said we wouldn't use their services
as long as they advertised in this way. I know I spoke collectively
for the list without permission( it wont happen again) but it appears
to have worked. Yahoo is putting their ads in place to break us all
in. once we get used to it being there all the time they will put in
the ads from other companies. I for one would rather pay a few bucks
a year than deal with all the ads. It just represents big business
pushing the customer around as far as I see it. They say Oh, here you
can use this for free, don't mind all these strings attached to the
back. Don't you think it's enough that we have a banner flashing away
at the top of the page, without having one under your nose at every
 mouse click.
Its as simple as this, the more adds they put on their sites the
more money they make. You don't think they are loosing money by
providing this forum do you? As long as we let them they will make
more and more money at our expense. I don't mind them making money,
it just shouldn't inconvenience their customers in the process. I'm
only 32 but I can remember when I was a small child and the customer
was always right, the cashier was always nice, and the Mc Donalds
pick-up window person didn't have an attitude.
    Wait a minute, I think I just had a break through! I need a
minute...;^) Anyway, I'll get off my soap box now.

Pat, non of this was directed at you. when I say you I mean all of
you on the list. I'll sit back and wait for the flame thowers to fire
 up now
    Happy New Year to All
      Joe S.

I like it when people make money. I like to make money. I like to see big companies making money. I like to see Yahoo! make money. Making money in a honest way is a good thing, not a bad thing. Making money is what makes the world a happy place. Poor people and companies that don't make money don't supply many jobs; they would probably be happier if they made money. I'd rather work for a rich person or a rich company versus a poor one; better chance to make me happy. Why is everyone down on people/companies that make money these days? I don't get it. Of course this isn't Russia. They can't afford us. This is the United States of America, a subsidiary of Japan, Inc. save for Florida, Texas, and southern California which belong to the Republic of Mexico and the Cuban Infiltration Force, Ltd.> Why is everyone down on people/companies that make money these days? > I don't get it. I hate being missquoted, don't you? The last poster took the
following quote out of context by not including the last sentence.

"You don't think they are loosing money by
providing this forum do you? As long as we let them they will make
more and more money at our expense. I don't mind them making money,

I have no problem with big business making money or my next door
neighbor for that matter. Maybe it doesn't bother you, or the power
companys, or the tobbacco companys, when making money adversly
affects others, but it doesn't sit well with me. just because its
legal dosen't make it right. They say there aren't good roll models
for kids growing up today. I'm thankful for the ones that taught me
that other people matter, and to treat them accordingly. I suppose if
I were raised in a different environment I might subscribe to the "Do
unto others before they do unto you" mauntra also. There's just no
 substitute for good home training.

Ok guys & gals, here is some "TOP SECRET" info on how to blast by the
 ads....
))

When you click on a post or reply just put your cursor over where it
says "Continue on to..." "IF" that, in fact, is what
appears, "quickly" give it a couple of clicks and you will fly on by
the ad and to where you wanted to go in the first place. When you're
finished reading it, you know when you click the "back" button you're
gonna get the ad again, give the back button "two" clicks and you
 won't even see the ad.

Now we all know that Yahoo will probably read this too and so
this "SECRET" info is now their property...... well it worked for
 awhile.

I just saw a flock of black helicopters flying overhead - south I think -
possibly for winter. I'll try and get more info. Where is that stuff I smoke on
 especial occasions?

You totally left out Louisiana. South Louisiana is it's own little world. It has to be experienced to be believed. North Louisiana is owned by Southern Baptist, which, as far as I know, is still a US organization. And of course that part of Texas that belongs to Viet Nam. Don't want to forget that. Mostly waterfront. taf> >Of course this isn't Russia. They can't afford us. Thank God for South Louisiana that has shown the world how to party, how to eat,
drink and last but not least "Show them tits."
