I'm 30 minutes south of Cambridge if you want to go riding with an
old guy who's a KLR newbie. I went on my first major trip this past
weekend to Bent River[350k] to see if I could make it into my buddy's
hunt camp. After 3 days of rain the trail in was the mud road from
hell. What some of the listers say about the stock tires being bad in
mud is true. Having no previous mud experience I think I did fairly
well and only dropped the mud slut 3 times. Soft mud= no damage. My
unique riding style had my bud on his honda foreman in stitches. IT
really was a hoot though and the KLR ran flawlessly, I even past 5
harleys on the 4hour trip home.
