kawasaki customer service, whats that??
I tell you one thing - I'll never go back to my Kawi dealer! I was
always a Honda dual sport man, but liked the awesome size of the KLR fuel
tank (I don't like to stop to fill up). In May of this year I was all set
to buy a new KLR650, went to my local dealer and was treated like a second
class citizen by their sales department. Then, to top it all off, he left
me on the sales floor while he said he was going to get some of the bikes
"paperwork". After waiting 20 minutes I asked where he was and was told he
went out to lunch, wouldn't be back for another 45 minutes. Now you may
think that this was some stupid sales jerk that didn't give two sh_ts. So
did I until the next day when I came back to talk to the owner about the way
I was treated. Sh_t face was the owner - Incredable!
As it turned out, I bought a second hand '01 the very next week with
less than 400 miles on it and about $1500 less than stock retail.
I really hope that all Kawi dealers are not like this, but if the
majority are this customer inept, Kawi will only lose more market share and
eventually become extinct.
