klr brake pads
Anyone know if ECB brake pads are much better than what is stock on
the A15?

klr brake pads
I just put on Galfer pads on my KLR (arrowheadmotorsports.com), and I am
guessing they provide maybe 20-30% more stopping power than stock. I've
heard they don't score the rotors as much as the stock pads but haven't
put enough miles on them to know yet. I changed at 2700mi because the
brakes aren't good enough for the city. The stock pads weren't worn
much.
I use EBC pads on my SR500s. They are perfectly fine pads, OK wet or
dry, hot or cold but not outstanding anywhere. They might work better on
the KLR, the SR has a stainless rotor that seems a little more slippery
than the KLR rotor.

klr brake pads
I have not been overly impressed with EBC on my KLX 650. Inital bite is
nice, but even with a careful 100 mile brake in, the bite disappears
after 500 miles. Then you are back to a handfull and not two fingers.

klr brake pads
I just installed a set of Gafler pads (green and black) from Fred at
Arrowhead. Wish I would have done this from day one! BIG difference.
With SS lines and Tourance tires I can lock up the brakes with no
problems.

Front brakes, the backing plates are green.
The stock rear brakes are strong enough, I can lock them on the street
on dry pavement. The front, once the tire warmed up, I couldn't even get
the tire to howl with the stock brakes.

EBC is no longer making the FA130 brakepads. They still make the FA67 for
the rear of the KLR.
