gps advice needed

Post by Charlie Thompson » Mon Jul 23, 2001 1:49 pm

A friend of mine has a couple of used GPS's for sale. I don't know anything about them other than I think they may be handy when out exploring trails. He has a Garmin XL45 and a Garmin GPS II Anybody have any opinions on if either of these is any good? Will they work on a bike? What is a fair price? Thanks in Advance Charlie T 00 Pegaso Parker, CO

Charlie, There is a news group . . . sci.geo.satellite-nav . . . that could answer your question. You can get a new eTrex (basic) for about $119, a new GPS III for under 300. George Escondido, CA

shitferbrains.net is available. He needs a new e-mail address, perhaps. RM assgasket.com is taken, however.
