I know this subject has been covered extensively in the past but I could not fine my specific problem in the archives. I've got an A12 that just ate the license plate. I had previously removed the rear reflector and moved the plate bracket up until the top of the license plate could go no higher as it was contacting the plate's bulb mounting bracket. I even bent the bottom of the plate out away from the tire. I have a gripster with about 3K miles on it and my chain has hardly ever needed adjustment, so the axle should not be too far back in the swing arm. Has anyone else taken these precautions and still had the plate contact the tire? Is there a better fix? I have an Ohio plate which isn't even particularly large.
