boots!!
Not to start a raging debate, but, what is best choice a KLR rider (ME)
who is doing mostly road but some off road too. Don't mind having a more
MOTO like boot, just not too off to one end of the spectrum. Something
that is comfy but too wanky for the dirt.
any ideas?? Thanks.

Kimberly and I have Aerostich Combat Touring Boots made by Spidi, they are
reasonably comfortable and good for all-round use. I'm a daily rider and for work
I've opted for a pair of Cabela waterproof 10" black lace-ups made by Danner, they
have Vibram soles. I look a bit clutsy but get away with it...I suspect they'll
become my "adventure touring" boot for riding and hiking...

Alpinestars Tourer GTX Boots
A classically styled, lightweight and waterproof boot, the GTX is ideal for
the motorcycle rider who wants understated, easy to use footgear. This boot
features a semi-rear entry design that makes it easy to don, and the
waterproof full-grain leather and Gore-Tex construction ensure that your
tootsies won't get wet after a long day in the saddle during adverse
conditions. Sturdy protective measures include an injected shin plate
insert, and hard ankle protector. EVA internal padding ensure comfort and
additional protection. The zipper, velcro, and high-memory spandex at the
calf give a great fit. A fine, trim riding boot, mercifully devoid of weird
flourishes and colors. Black. Medium width. Sizes: 7, 8, 9, 9.5, 10, 11, 12.
CAT. NO. 418 $ 197.00 Select/Order

Check out the boots...I did Asia for 5 weeks with these boots. No problems
to report.
Totally waterproof...I don't work for this company, but you will find it
rather hard to beat this boot for all-around usefulness.
Good luck,

boots!!
Has anyone tried the Gaerne "Offroad" boot? I read about it in Dirt
Wheels or somewhere a few months back, but haven't seen anything
since. They are very conservative looking (brown, oiled leather),
apparently comfortable, and have a sole on them that looks like you
could even walk in them.

alligator ds rally
Just curious on how many people are going to make the Daytona Bike Week
Alligator DS Rally this Wed. Thundersdogs is going to meet me and then we
are going to hookup with Jerry from Deltona and the three of us are going to
ride over for it.
Anybody else who is going sound off so that we can look for each there. It
sould be a blast!
