Bob, Don't keep us in suspense. What are you getting to replace the KLR? Gino

A dual-sported XR-400. My roots are calling me. I'm going more toward the dirt side of things. I want less wieght and more travel.I had a chance to ride one in Baja last weekend and fell completely in love. The KLR experience has been a great one for me and it is the bike that got me firmly back into motorcycling so it may be just a fling - I may come running back to a KLR. It just seems like a good time to shake things up a bit. I would keep it but I only like to have one bike at a time. Bob

Plannning on purchasing 01 KLR within 2 weeks. Want this model for extended fuel range for trip to Washington DC this summer. Currently own 95 KLX and love it! Any tips for packing for an extended trip? I use the KLX primarily for commuting to work, not much need for more than saddle bags. Thanks for any advise you may offer. Marshall
