electrical problem (i think...)

I have a problem with my A4. Sometimes, when I downshift from 2nd to 3rd, the engine gets cut off. It doesn't happen all the time; I would say maybe once out of 4 downshifts. This doesn't occur when downshifting from 4th to 3rd or from 2nd to 1st, neither when upshifting. I'm suspecting it's the side stand kill switch that may be the problem...Anyone has encountered this problem before and knows what causes it? Thanks in advance for answering...
