moab 2k & video

Post by cadcamkenny@netzero.net » Mon Jun 12, 2000 3:59 pm

I had a great time in Moab, Thanks to all who attended and organized the get together. I should have my photos posted by next weekend. I also have some handlebar-cam video riding the slick rock bike path. I'm going to try to use ieee-1394 to capture the video for distribution on CD-ROM as .MPG files. Does anyone know who to do this? "Someone said I Tacoed my bike in Moab" Let's just say I christened the KLR - 3 times on the right side! Nothing that some zip ties could'nt fix, and not a scratch on me. Now that Moab is out of the way, I expect everyone to meet me in Wisconsin for Enduraid! http://www.geocities.com/enduraid2000/ Ya hey, I bet I'll catch a fish up der! CAD\CAM Kenny

I know some of you on the list use GPS's on your KLR has anybody run into any problems in this area? Thanks. >> I am sure that tom from cycoactive will catch this mail but I use a touratech mount for my 3+ which has vibration dampening mounts and the unit has had special mods done to it to limit the ammount of moving parts that rattle around in it .And the last thing is do not use the batteries in it because they can vibrate around in it and damage the unit, so far so good! -neil
