[dsn_klr650] return to song dog and ballanger canyon orv area

Kurt, watch out for those single track black diamonds. One little bobble and you can say bye-bye to your KLR. Russel'r dsn_klr650@egroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] Return to Song Dog and Ballanger Canyon ORV Area Having had a taste of the great riding out at Ballanger Canyon on the all too short afternoon I spent at the Cal Posse Roundup, I am returning there tomorrow. Riding with two friends with real off-road bikes, a DR 350 and a XR400. Neither are street legal and both riders are accomplished dirt riders. Should be an interesting day, I haven't fallen down on the KLR for two weeks now so am probably over due. We should get out there about 10:00 am if anyone wants to join us. There definately is some pucker factor on a few of those narrow ridge top trails. My buddies got a lot of rest waiting for me to catch up but I did every trail that they did just a little slower. It was a good day for me, I gained a lot of confidence in the bike and developed some new skills. I'm glad I had a fairly aggressive tire (K270) because I don't think I could have gotten up some of those hills otherwise. All in all a great day of riding! Kurt

Gives me a more realistic view of reality to note that someone like Baja Kurt G. still has a thing or two to learn. Bogdan , (Is he being too modest?) ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

The funny thing is, you and I live closer together than I (and very likely you) live to anyone else on the list... and we're in different countries. lol Cheers, Arne
