help finding a good pipe
Riding a bike with a loud pipe(s) in the presence of others, is akin to an obnoxious pr*ck releasing a particularly devastating fart in a packed elevator. The big difference is that the obnoxious pr*ck is not as willing to own up to his deed. Whereas, the loud piper is proud of his source of pollution.
To the noise fans - Don't fool yourselves.
Noise is not appreciated and does not save lives. Smart driving and constant situational awareness saves lives.

Yeah! Ditto!
Unnecessary, and loud noise of any kind is BAAAAD! Even the birds are
sometimes too noisy!

Well said, Clark. My personal take after surviving 38 years on the street with stock pipes is that good riding habits are what keep you alive, and loud pipes always piss people off. If loud worked, wouldn't we all have sirens? A good LOUD horn is all the noise I've needed to stay upright. Loud pipes wouldn't have prevented the two times I've been hit by a car. People with loud pipes seem to forget there are pedestrians and others who aren't even driving but are suffering from their noise while the rider wears earplugs to protect himself from excess noise. Kind of like putting on a gas mask, then releasing poison gas--"Gee, it's not bothering me!" __Arden> piss off everyone within a hundred yards. > > LIke I said, just my 2 cents.. > > Ride safe and enjoy. > > Clark >

I drilled about a dozen 3/8" holes in my header pipe and right before the muffler. Lot better flow and sound, bike gets better mileage and at least 5 more HP. Thanks CA Stu> -----Original Message----- > > Every time I hear one, I recall the line from Macbeth: "...a tale > told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." >

Hey Stu.
Who wudda thunk it? By the way, the 5 hp you gained, was that at the rear wheel or at the header?

Can't be done anyway. The Kisan has an electric eye that senses night
and won't work after dark.
