I have used only Fork oil in my KLR but others have used Automatic Transmission Oil with success I think. Brad A9

Hello to All, Cycoactive now has the new Garmin GPS V which is just out from Garmin. Just recieved mine and so far so good. Comes with 12V power cord, PC/GPS cord, cities cd. hello all the 2000 klr that i am intrested in buying had a broken cylinder head. the owner was taking a ride to maine from new york..it broke down near boston. he says he replaced the entire cylinder head assembly. over $1000 in new parts. when he went to pick it, he says the bike was running but not smooth. so the engine runs but it is not running smoothly. so is this bike worth my 1500 hard earned dollars. or should i just forget about it. how serious is a borken cylinder? is it trully replacable? thanks everyone for your help john in nyc

Borken cylinder heads are replaceable. They must come complete with the cam journal caps, and have been line-bored. Cylinders (barrels) are replaceable too. My advice? get the receipts and see where the work was done, verify as much information as possible, and make lower offer. A broken head, if from a blown head gasket or cracked head, might have other consequences elsewhere in the motor, it should all be checked by a competent someone.

I bought a 2001 Red Blast tin February. I sold it as fast as I could. Lost a heap. They are not a Blast. They should have been called a Thud. The name really stands for B-Last.
