I just got a regular old copper washer.
I have reused it at least 20 times.
I just heat it up with propane torch or
stove top and put it back on.
I have never stripped a KLR oil drain plug.
Now the valve cover bolts are a different story...

Fred can Mail some right to your house cheaper then Most can drive to NAPA.

napa drain plug gasket
This would make for a really LONG oil change process.
1. Hmm... Nothing to do, lets change the oil while the weather is good
then go for a ride.
2. ride down to parts store and buy oil. I have a steel filter.
3. Take out filter and drain oil.
4. Call and order a washer.
5. WAIT SEVERAL DAYS FOR MAIL.
6. Reinstall filter and fill oil.
7. Keep waiting for the next weekend you have time to ride.

Yea... one of those claws saved my bacon once. Just probe around with it
down inside the engine and when you feel or hear something loose down
there extend the claw and cross your fingers. You may have to try it a
couple of times but hang in there...
