That video was just another persons PoV, just because he can make a
video does not make him a expert.
I think the only way to tell would be to run lab tests to see which has
more effect. No lube, Lube, WD40, scott oiler, engine oil, and ATF. But
then you have to account for road dirt, grit, rain and salt. Then you
have the periods of use, ridden then left for a month then ridden every
day etc.
God forbid if you look at the off-road side of things.
Some people are good at making chains last and some are not. I kill
chains and brake pads but that's my riding style[1].
We could sit he for years talking about what to use and what not to use.
I just use old engine oil atm as it stops the rust getting into the
chain which then makes it stiff and then become loose after a short ride[2].
Just get on your bike and ride the damn thing.

[1]20 stone bloke with a nice quick drive to work that has some heavy
breaking areas at junctions.
[2] still have a scar where a bike chucked me off because I forgot to
check the chain tension.
