That response will get you a you're welcome and a picture of the Brake! that I just posted in the photo section in the album "LED Taillight". It does look like Gizmomill is no longer in business, so these Brake! units could be in limited supply, unless someone picked up the rights to manufacture them. So if you want one, I would suggest acting on it now. Dennis KD7CAC Scottsdale, AZ

Are these red LEDs on the circuit board, or are they white? I'd imagine that they have to be white to put out plenty of light, or they'd be a bit weak... Confirm/deny? -----Original Message----- From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Dennis Griffin This appears to be the same unit that was marketed as the Brake! a while back. I seem to recall paying $80 - 85 for it three years ago.

The LEDs are red. If you shine a white LED through a red lens/filter it only allows the red wavelength of the light through and blocks out all the other colors that make up the white light. If you start with a red LED all the red shines through. I'm sure you could find a better explanation than mine, or I could be wrong. Im not a light expert but I do use lights on a daily basis. :) Dan

Hi Dan, your LED output color vs lens color is right on, the quick look I remember taking at the tail light replacement module that was posted probably uses LED's similiar to the 5mm Phriana components listed at one of the links below, These liks should provide you with all of the info and way more then you ever wanted to know about LED usage...Have a great day....Greg http://www.superbrightleds.com/led_prods.htm http://www.superbrightleds.com/leds.htm http://www.superbrightleds.com/carbulb-notes.htm

dying klr-fuel issues

Post by Mark Harfenist » Sun Jul 12, 2009 2:17 pm

Posted by: "Ernie Campbell" hotfoot777@... hotfoot777 Sat Jul 11, 2009 12:18 pm (PDT) "mines doing the same thing, lossin the drain on the bottom of the carb bowl and take off the gas line to the tank and blow into it, it will fix it." I had a 1969 F-250 pickup which used to do this regularly. I'd be driving down the road, usually late at night in the rain, and it would sputter and quit. If I let it sit for a while, it would start and run normally. Eventually I discovered that if I popped the hose off the fuel pump I could blow into it until I heard bubbles in the tank, then reattach it and continue on my way. I got really, really adept at doing this in a hurry. Obviously, I had crap in my tank which would periodically clog the dip tube inside the tank. This was a free truck (from friends), and I always had a list of more serious issues to work on (for example, the "three-pump" brakes, the bent allthread rods instead of u-bolts on the rear axle, or the home-made wiring harness), so never got around to the fuel problem. But if it was one of my bikes, I'd not be satisfied having to mess with it; I'd do whatever it took to clear the intake straw and clean whatever was clogging it from inside my tank. Hope that helps. Mark

Ah, cool, thanks. So then actually white would work well too as it also contains the red wavelength light. -----Original Message----- From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of dan.hinsch The LEDs are red.
