restance to rotation on the right side than on the left side, so the
differential action speeds up the left wheel RPM an amount equal to the

Could be a rubbing brake shoe or a stiff bearing.

Probably the brakes are adjusted slightly tighter on the right side. Since
the differential is not locked and is not limited slip, the wheels can and
should rotate independently.
