MG Books
The best reference for tech questions would be Blower's
MG Service Manual, covering M thru TF.
I happen to have 2 copies, one original with water damage and one reproduction.
I am NOT willing to part with them but you may enquire for information and I can scan pages and send if they will help.. . . . . Sally Carroll in Russell OH

Re: MG Books
Surely a cheque book with a reasonably hefty bank balance supporting it should
be top of the list?!

MG Books
I haven't owned and MG for several years and it doesn't look like I will
be getting another on any time soon. I have a whole shelf full of MG
books I have collected through the years. I thought someone on the list
might be interested in them. I found most of them listed for sale as
used books on Amazon. I was surprised to see that TCs Forever is valued
at more that all the others combined. Does it really sell for $550?

I made a spreadsheet of the titles I have and the prices I found on
Amazon which I can send to anyone who is interested. Of course I am not
going to ask for the full Amazon price. This will primarily be of
interest for US residents. Shipping will probably be too expensive to
other countries. I'm located in the Greater Kansas City, Missouri area.

I was wondering about that. My wife and I have seen quite a few totally unrealistic prices on Amazon all across the board.

The TC'S Forever book is $160.00 tops. It can be ordered new from.Aystrailia for $175. With shipping. Amazon is pie in the sky pricing. Sent from Yahoo Mail on AndroidOn 10/31/2017 7:53 PM, M. P. wrote:

Re: MG Books
FYI  TCs Forever has been superseded by TCs Forever More by the same author.  No idea on the value of either.  Paul  Paul Barrow153 Clemons RoadMontesano, WA 98563 USA+ 1 360 249 5123 - Landline+1 360 500 9389 – Cell Phone+1 360 249 3776 – FaxPaul.Barrow@Centurytel.Net

It's actually more of a second volume, covering different aspects of TC ownership than the original did. I've seen the first editions selling for as low as $50 is poor condition, to around $150 for nice signed copies. The new book typically sells for around $100.

Re: MG Books
TC Forever More is a companion book not a supersession.  In the UK a new copy of TC’s Forever can be bought for just under 100. I’m not sure what Moss in the USA want for it or whether Doug Pelton stocks it.     Norman Verona11 Cherry Close, Royston, South Yorkshire S71 4LZPhone: 0044 (0)1226 728811Mob: 0044 (0)741 9905 741Web: www.frenchblat.com  From: mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com [mailto:mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of 'Paul Barrow' paul.barrow@centurytel.net [mg-tabc]

Re: MG Books
hi Charles - I do not want to get into a discussion about Amazon (there is enough on the WWW to show you what sort of co. they are...) but that price is pure profiteering! I doubt whether even my first edition copy (numbered 0978 to match my TC) and signed by Mike, is worth anywhere near that. It will be passed on to whichever of the grandchildren shows the most (or any) interest in my old MGs.

Re: MG Books
I think the used book prices on Amazon are set by the seller, not by Amazon. I agree they re often totally unrealistic. When I published Flaming Floorboards through Amazon s print-on-demand services I put First Print Edition on the title page as a lark. I felt guilty when I later saw people advertising First Edition used copies of my book on Amazon for $40, because anyone who paid the stock $8.99 price for a new copy would also get a first edition.  Steve Tom / TC5311  Tue Oct 31, 2017 6:12 pm (PDT) .
