Dear Lords&Ladies; Their is a Grease Fitting on my Bishop's Cam. What type of
grease should I use? Or, should I fill it with some other fluid. I am a
little wary of this Cam -so many PROS and CONTRAS about this mechanisim that
it causes confusion for many, especially me. Getting TC #6744 aka" Prince
Valiant "ready for the maiden voyage up to St Augustine on 20-22 April for
the GOF. Looking forward to meeting some of our helpful (Carl )and
illustrious( Larry) associates. Tally Ho! Thom Collins

Re: Bishops Cam
Gear oil goes into this location. The heavier the better. Should you
have a Ford Model T/Model A store nearby, they sell 600W gear oil.
Recommended by Al Moss for this application. Of course, you could then
supply all other TC owners in the state, with what you don't use.

Order a pint of Penrite steering box "oil" from Restoration Supply in Reno
and fill it with that..you'll have to spoon it in but this is no ordinary
grease. If you've installed a lip seal at the bottom of the sector shaft,
you can use 600 wt oil available from them or also from any Model A ford shop.

Re: Bishops Cam
Restoration Supply in Reno has Penrite steering box lube 1200 wt. in quart
size... won't even THINK of leaking out.
