Speaking of tools and your toolbox wishlists, does anyone have experience with the Grip-Tite sockets at Sears? http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM6291916202P?prdNo=9&blockNo=9&blockType=G9 I've heard of sockets that grab the flats, rather than the points, of nuts and therefore aren't as likely to round off stubborn nuts. -- Kevin Powers White Bear Lake, MN

I finally bought a 10mm gear aka ratcheting wrench. I got it for the shift lever bolt. It is a 2 minute job versus 15 min job. The one I got was advertised as a battery wrench but it will work. J#3

Ratcheting box ends have been around for a long time, and are quite useful. I would describe my battery wrench as more like a ratcheting box end, except it only has one wrench end, where the general purpose ones have different-sized 6-point wrenches on either end. "Gear Wrench" is a brand name for wrenches that have a ratcheting box, usually 12-point, on one end and an open end in the same size on the other. I carry a few in my road tools, and find them quite useful. However, I do not completely trust their ability to handle high torques, nor am I too fond of the 12-point design. Gimme a 6-point for anything I am going to have to reef on hard. The high price of the sets also puts me off (if I'm gonna pay way too much for a tool, it had better be a Snap-On) as does the fact that thy always seem to include a couple of useless sizes like 16mm or 18mm while leaving out something like a 14 or 17.

I put adhesive backed strips of velcro on the seat pan bosses and the areas of the subframe they rest on. Fast access and fine for trailering... when you get in a wreck and the seat flies off, you've got other stuff to worry about. Mech
