tires & front shakes / big trip
Hey all
The bike used to shimmy bad at 65-75, as most everyones. I do not know (YET) if it's because i added about4-5 lbs in tire tools in the front pvc pipe OR because I put on the Metzlers ($$$) that come stock on a F650gs (bmw)
But even at 90 LOADED with camping gear, tools etc. on the back and that usualy made it shake worse. but all is smooth, No front end shakes at 65+.
Trip update: In Cody Wyoming today, Yellow stone tomorrow.
Was bummed that I lost power to the Gps (12volt) plug, about an hour before getting here 94pm) But the "ying/yang" good thing was it turned out my head/tail light fuse was blown,.
The good thing, If i didn't see i lost power to the outlet I may not have noticed untill dark or I got a ticket. All good so far.

On my bike, I don't get shimmy until I hit 90 or so (Indicated).
When it starts, I slide back on the seat and it will usually settle down.
When you're loaded, it may help because loading the rear increases rake and trail, thus enhancing high-speed stability. You might want to try softening your rear suspension or adding shims to the front to increase preload. If your bike rides to heavy (or low) on the front, you'll get high-speed stability problems.
