What are the latest genius lubes for chains these days? I have a new chain on the KLR and a fairly new one on the Versy. I was using a Teflon based product I got at Cyclegear but they didn't still have it yesterday. Criswell Sent from my iPad

I put ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S Butter Flavor Popping Oil on my chain every morning. It lubricates the chain for the day and the critters clean my chain at night. I use Master Chain Lube "For motorcycle, bicycle and farm use." The stuff is excellent, and only cost $1.69 a 12oz can. For travel-sized use, I go with either PB Blaster garage door lube, or Oilo Beretta per Armi, bothe in a 4oz can. Everything is better with a little bacon grease.

I tried some Teflon stuff... Commercial stuff name I will remember after I hit the send button... Anyway it seemed to dry out the seals and chain... my best luck is WD-40 to wash it, if planning to stay on pavement I give it a little chainsaw baroil, otherwise just the WD40. YMMV I tend to ride on gravel sometimes and the oil is not your friend. Dooden A15 Green Ape

Was it "DuPont Teflon Multi-Use Dry, Wax Lubricant"? One of the Motorcycle Consumer News guys recommended this a few years ago, for chains among other things. I bought a can, haven't tried it.
