Hi All, Thanks for the tips on the bark buster install. A little force certainly IS required to bend them to shape. They look great. I'm in the process of trimming down the stock handguards to fit inside the barkbusters. Has anyone built a headlight protector? I'm thinking of a lexan or pexiglass piece to fit over the headlight. I haven't figured out how to mount it on yet. 4 standoff bolts in the faring around the headlight would work, but I don't really want to put 4 holes in my faring if I can find any other way to do it. Attachments :Happy Monday, folks... I finally came up with a KLR650 headlight guard. I should've taken pictures of the white one, so they'd be easier to see, dangit. I just finished a stainless unit too, so I'll take some photos of that and get them up as soon as I can. MWBailey: Installation does not require a degree in rocket science. Dr. Chris' headlight guard is super simple to hook up with only 3 screws (2 top left and right and 1 bottom center) he provides that hold the fairing in place. He seems to believe in the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle. His Big Cee Engineering website URL is http://www.galcit.caltech.edu/~stringray/bigcee.html to see pictures of the whole setup. The price for a standard black unit I believe is now $90. He has the production system worked out now to provide some variation in materials, color and design, some of which may cost a little more.
