Just wondered if anyone has had to scan hundreds of old photos and
seeking recommendations in regards to an inexpensive but decent
photo scanner. Auto feed would be great but may be out of my price
range of max $150.00.
Thanks!

nklr - pc scanner recommendations
Hi Jim
I've always had best results with the least pain with software with Canon. Avoid
HP, pretty good hardware, usually pretty painful software. I personally am not a
fan of the scanner/printer/fax units which is what I believe you would need to
purchase to get the auto feed function although that like my preference for
Canon is just a preference based on my experience. One advantage some of the 3
in 1 units do have that as far as I know isn't available on a standard flatbed
scanner is wireless connectivity which to me a biggie since my laptop is in a
different room from my printer and scanner so dragging my laptop to the
printer/scanner would be avoided.....sounds lazy but they typically are at
opposite end of the house and on different floor so despite prefering not to
have a 3 in 1 I will probably go with one of those with the next upgrade.
Have a great evening.....Greg
