Yes John i don't know your age but speaking for myself It's the same old story not enough bikes although i have four and more to the point barley enough time as in age to ride them,but full speed ahead as long as you can throw a leg over and no regrets,the Mille is a nice bike also,I'd always wanted to own something Italian and different so the Guzzi was it,they are working on a water cooled version which is supposed to show up in 2013 i might still be here by then!

sprocket and fiche confusion
In my quest for good prices on sprockets and chain I ordered a Sunstar front sprocket and RK 520XSO chain from Amazon of all places. What showed up was a Sunstar 35915 which crosses to Kawasaki p/n 13144-1163 per:

Checking ronayers.com confirmed that part number but the fiche for a KLR650A14 shows the retainer plate with two small bolts and not the single large nut that I know I have.
Checking the fiche for an A15 ('01) I see the setup I have with a Kaw p/n of 13144-1253 which according to Sunstar's pdf crosses to what they shipped, the 35915, so I guess I can use it, but I was concerned for a while.
Thought these bikes were mechanically identical from 1996-2007, so I am confused. Did Kawasaki make a mistake with their own fiche?
The price was right though: RK 520XSO x 106 links and Sunstar 35915 for $105 shipped.

sprocket and fiche confusion
Don't go by the pictures in the Kawasaki Fiche. They are just a general
representation not an actual picture. The spline and thread of the output
shaft are all the same from 1996-2007.
