Have you considered the Honda NT700V? http://powersports.honda.com/2010/nt700v.aspx -Jeff Khoury From: "Craig Kahler" To: "dsn klr650" dsn_klr650@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Saturday, February 5, 2011 2:48:04 PM Subject: [DSN_KLR650] NKLR Interstate cruiser I am considering getting another bike for strictly highway use, All day interstate cruising. But, I don't want a big expensive Goldwing kind of bike. I would like to stay on the small side, but still be comfortable. I'm thinking under 750cc, under 500lb, less than 10 years old. How is a Vulcan 500 or 600 shadow on the highway? Any other suggestions? Craig [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

"TOOSHAY" Mr Criswell my thoughts exactly,i guess we've killed this thread and some, somewhere down the road when we are long gone if this planet survives that is, one of the manufactures will build a carbon fiber lightweight big cc motorcycle with every Farkel known to man that will maybe do it all HWY,Offroad, and everything in between which you will be able to buy for a Gazzillion $ and be able to go around the world on your own and not have a care in the world, one can dream. I prefer a bike that weighs say 230 pounds when the going gets rough. Jes way more fun to deal with...to me. But everybody has a right or desire to ride whatever they want. A Harley riding aquaintence pointed out to me (he thought) any motorcycle would go where any other bike would go and they rode big Harlies in the thirties in enduros (that's all they had to ride). I don't think Hogglies could ride observed trials. I had a little 100 cc Hodaka years ago that I took places where no other bike I had went including better dirt bikes. Why? It weighed under 200 pounds. I still laugh when I see photos or video's of the 2 Brits on big GS's stuck in axle deep mud in Mongolia. Not everybody has a support team. I ride alone a lot so I have just me to rely on when the going gets rough and I am getting old so don't want to have to pick up 400, 500 or 600 pounds when I am already dog assed tired. > > Criswell > On Feb 9, 2011, at 2:56 PM, mark ward wrote: > > > Posers? > > > > George Carlin (comidian) "have you ever noticed , anyonee going slower then YOU is an idiot, and anyone going faster then YOU is a maniac. > > > > Seems to work for what Bike, a man chooses to ride also.
