bikes for sale

Post by Henry (Terry) Brigham » Sun Aug 20, 2000 6:45 pm

I know that these two bikes don't match all the lists I am posting to but bear with me. I am trying to raise the cash to buy a Kawasaki KLR650 or 250. I have one of the nicest 1990 GB500TT Hondas in existence. It has a 38mm Mikuni, Supertrapp, new Metzlers, Koni shocks and Progressive fork springs. New gold o-ring chain. Fresh battery. I have all the stock pieces except the air box for it. Lots of spares. Also has rear luggage rack ( not installed ) and boy racer fly screen baby wind shield. 3500mi. Price is $3700. The other bike is a 1981 Honda CT110. Bike has 1700 mi on it although the new speedo shows under 20mi. All the plastic and decals have been replaced. It has a fresh clutch, new piston&rings with a valve job. New battery, chain and brake shoes and carburetor. New forks ( chrome pitted on original ones ) and progressive rear shocks. New cables. None of the above really needed replacing but I wanted the bike perfect. Passenger seat on luggage rack. Spare fuel tank. A steal at $1400. Thanks. Henry Brigham, Rockport Texas.. 361 7293562

1997 KTM SXR50, looks and runs great, busted kill switch, $800 1989 Suzuki JR50, excellent runner, missing a side cover, $550 1980 Yamaha XT250, decent shape & reliable, new rear tire, great for wife, girlfriend or as play bike, $500 1979 XR75, ran well, but was fouling spark plugs on cold starts occasionally. Spark plug hole needs helicoil now. 4 speed manual shift great for a kid to learn on before getting that KX80, $200 Prices are pretty-much firm. These must be picked up at my house near State College, PA, Sorry, I can't ship any of these items. Mark B2 A2 A3

Speaking of bikes for sale: I've got a friend who has a 1990 Tengai for sale. $1500obo Don't have all the particulars handy, but I know it has about 46k on it and still runs circles around my doggy A9. Comes with a ton of spare stuff off of another Tengai he purchased as a parts bike. Has a skidplate, jetted correctly for 1000ft, and other things I'm sure. If you are interested send me an email and I can get you in touch with him. Darrick(in Minneapolis just like the Tengai) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Right now I only have this one: http://www.personal.psu.edu/mjv2/XT250.jpg Oh, and I made a mistake, it's an '81. Also, I retrofitted a KLR650 luggage rack to it and there's a racquetball-sized dent in the left side of the gas tank. Thanks, Mark

bikes for sale

Hey gang! Mrs Swampy said I could get another bike, BUT...I have to get rid of one or some that I already have...(which bike I get depends on how many bikes leave the garage! Let's just say the letters: KTM) Now remember I don't HAVE to sell these so let's be reasonable here folks, this is what they're worth to me... 1983 Kawasaki GPz550. This is the model that started all sport bikes! 11k miles, all stock, original paint, mufflers, seat, fairing, etc. new Dunlop tires, Clymer manuals, extra parts. Sweet road bike. $1700 obo. 1996 KTM RXC 620 Dual Sport (Yes, you read right, THE Swamp Machine!) 5K miles, new o-ring chain and sprokets, new Dunlop 606's front & rear with heavy duty tubes, Travelcade gel seat with stock seat cover, Acerbis dual headlights, new Acerbis rally guards, Del o'rto carb upgrade a few years back, recent new wheel bearings front and back, hard wired for Garmin GPS III, III+, V, Clean Florida title, excellent bike for you "big" boys, tall seat height. $2700obo. (It's in the picture on the Dixie Dual Sport Egroup homepage) 1982 Suzuki PE175. It's all bagged and tagged, just needs to be put back together. All new plastics, repainted stock tank (great shape, got on ebay), new seat new fork seals, new wheel bearings front & back, new steering stem bearings, extra set of forks and triple tree. I've already repainted the frame to stock black, some of the other parts need to be painted as well. I'll even give ya the paints I bought! I'm currently bidding on a headlight and odometer for this thing and will include those in the price, along with all the nasty old plastics and old tank and seat for it. This was a project bike and I'll part with it for what I have in it: $850 Will throw in a new yellow Clarke universal PE gas tank, brand spankin' new, for $100 more. tank cost $160... Now if anyone's looking for a 2000 KLR I'll part with that too: 9k miles, Progressive suspension upgrades front & rear, 5 Star centerstand, headlight guard, new Duro 50/50 tires with HD tubes, hardwired for Garmin GPS III, III+ or V, will include the Wolfman tankbag. Front rim has small ding from last weeks excursion. I didn't notice any effects to handling. Great adventure bike...$2900 Remember, if you wanna see them, I'm in the Tampa Bay region. I have pictures of the GPz, and can find some of the KLR and KTM for those of you that don't know them... -Swampy email me off list at swampy@... #ygrps-yiv-693215039 p {margin:0;}I've been all over the 'net looking for a non-neon model in my size.  Cli-Max and BikeBandit both accepted my order then canceled it for being out of stock. I finally got my hands on a black one at Rocky Mountain ATV.  They ACTUALLY had it in stock as opposed to just SAYING they had it in stock.  I placed the order at 1:00PM and it shipped at 2:15PM.  It's the first time I've ordered from them, but color me impressed by this experience. -Jeff Khoury

Suzuki DRZ400e, not street legal, hotroddded.  Wheels for dirt track, supermoto and ice racing (ice fenders)   very sweet.  CJ and I ice raced it once a couple of years ago and its been in storage since (it ran great).

1997 KTM 620 RXC, in very good to excellent shape.  Its mostly been in storage its whole life.  Last year I changed it to a Mikuni card (the Edelbrock was a brick) and rand it for 20 highway miles.   Also very sweet.;very good enduro.

2007 KTM560SMR  Factory Supermoto race bike.  Presently getting its engine freshened.  Three sets of wheels with dry, rain and intermediates.

1972 Honda 350 .  Setup for AHRMA 350 sportsman with beautiful vintage replica tank and fender-hotrodded motor, rearsets, powdercoated, etc, etc..  Great new wheels, tires, etc.  A great vintage racer that I put a huge amount of effort into over the last couple of years.  The pegs are scratched up from when I got biffed by a squid who broke my shoulder .

1979 Kawasaki KZ1000 MkII.  It was a beautiful streetfighter chop years ago.  It’s a great bike but it needs some attention to the electricals.  Hotrodded  and pretty.

I’m keeping the 950 Adventure and the KLR.
