#ygrps-yiv-1847717285 p {margin:0;}As a asuperstitionist, I have no problem with people wishing each other whatever they like. Heck, I don't get even the slightest bit offended when people wish me "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hanukkah" or whatever.  I try to greet them with the Holiday that corresponds to their faith (if I know it).  If I don't know FOR SURE, I use a generic greeting.  I tend to use more generic greetings than specific ones because I really don't care what faith people are, as faith should be (IMAO) a personal thing one keeps to themselves in casual conversations.  Where I live, there's a very high probability that any given person is not a Christian. What I do have a problem with is people who piss and moan because I do not presume to know their faith.  I'm so very tired of hearing the 70-odd percent of Christians complain that they're being repressed by the 20-odd percent of people who are of some other faith, or none at all.  The latest polls show between 10 and 15% identify as "atheist" or "no preference", about 1% are Jewish, and the remainder includes Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Shintoists and the like. When people wish you "Happy Holidays", they're TRYING TO BE NICE, and not being presumptive.  Companies do this because they've come to understand that statistically about 20% of the people who patronize their businesses are NOT CHRISTIAN.  It's smart business, nothing more. -Jeff Khoury From: "skypilot110" To: "DSN KLR650" DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, December 20, 2010 2:06:48 PM Subject: [DSN_KLR650] Happy Festivus, was KWANZAA & CHRISTMAS! Sorry folks, I didn’t mean to turn my post into a religious thread.  I just like to goad Jud out of his Igloo once in a while.  Besides, its going to be a long winter in the great white north, and Garrison Keillor can only keep you interested up to a point.

I would like to congratulate the list for keeping the tone of the discussion civil, peaceful, and thoughtful.  That’s what  Christmas is all about!

But please don’t ever try to convince me that Mobil 1:8 “thou shalt never defile the temple of the crankcase with non-synthetic oil” will ruin my KLR.

Merry Christmas and Happy Festus to all who are still transitioning toward the truth from TV land. J

High of 80 degrees in Dallas / Ft. Worth. Looks like a ride day for the KLR. Jud is still looking for a roof for the Viks. Criswell

My church begins where the pavement ends. My God breaths in 4 strokes and wears knobbies, and he can kick your God's butt. Thats right, it said NKLR already, so I went there! I wish you all a happy KLR and a two wheeled new year. :-)

Great SCOTT! I just had a V-Ate. I should have stayed at the Hollyday En excess. It was: A BFO = blinding flash of the Obvious or was it the oblivious? Finally, I 'see' the troll. The KLR Divinci Kode; similar to KLR = KiLeRista or Kawasaki Long Range In this case, It is all a matter of sequencing-- Using the oft misquoted, maligned and seldom consulted KLR manual, "the last shall be first, the first shall be next" we discover the secret formula for uber-winter KLR-threading a slippery slope. You take the last letter of Scott = T; the first letter of Russell, =R; the next different last letter in Scott, = O; THEN, Since you now have discovered the first 'three' letters NOTE: (3 = a sacred prime number of all pagans, superstionist, Taosist,Christians,KiLeRista's, and undefined fence-sitters: you can suddenly have a BFO!!!! LOOK! KLR has the three scared letters) After obtaining the first three letters, you MUST reverse the process on the next sequence of three (or more) by starting with the last letter of the first name; the last letter(s) of Russell = L badabing, badaboom is spells troll. Brilliant, my good man (Scott). There has to be a movie deal in all of this somewhere. revmaaatin. who hopes he does not offend some 'summer' person by saying, "Happy First Day of Winter" = 120 trolling days till Spring
