gel battery

Didn't someone say that there was a Gel Battery for the KLR? Didn't you say that you had good fortune with it? If so, can you tell me where to get one? My KLR's battery ate the acid/water caps. They fell right off. One plate in the corner had done the white sulfide thing too. Don't know why. Bike is under an awning out of the weather, and a battery tender was used continuously. Oh well, I need new juice. jim_ama585601 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

gel battery

My 07's stock battery needs to be replaced.
I definitely will be going with a maintenance free battery, but am confused by the terminology.
Which batteries are OK to be laid on its side?
Is an AGM battery the same as a GEL battery.
Are dry cell batteries gel batteries?
Do I have 5 choices:
1. lead acid maintenance
2. lead acid maintenance free
3. lead acid AGM maintenance free.
4. Gel maintenance free.
5. dry cell maintenance free.
