Been using it for 16-17 years now? Came with 5 different diamter axle shafts. This is the same rig trackside tire vendors use to balance wheels on 200 MPH Superbikes
Or is it just as easy

~~~~One of the reasons I do my own tire work (including balancing) is to save me from taking the wheels to a shop. Closest shop in my area is about 25 minutes one way. I can R&R a tire and balance it in that time so the way I look at it, there would be no time savings if I had to cart the wheel to someone else to balance it
Like others have suggested, you can make your own balancer for cheap. I actually like to buy tools so I went for something ready made and a known quantity. With the amount of riding I do payback came quickly (IMO). The fact that a tool will enable you to get the job done w/o any help makes it pay for itself right away and doesn't need anymore justification
