who is using rim locks here?, now rim strips

A friend who's opinion I respect teaches motorcycle repair and maintenance plus makes his living working on bikes is highly against the silly coneing tubeless tires / spokes on a tube type rim. He claims you are risking a high speed blow out or sudden loss of air. I knew one guy who did this and rode it to Alaska successfully. I don't like high speed blow outs so I think I will stay with tubes on a tube type rim. Criswell

I'll start the "tubeless" work on my rear wheel for the other E705 in the next couple of days. Cheers, Ed

I change the oil and filter regularly on my old Tengai, and I check the coolant level - it does not lose any. But, the oil level sight glass always has an opaque white deposit on the inside which makes it impossible to visually check the oil level. Last year I put a new set of clutch plates in and with the engine cover off I wiped the white stuff away, but it has returned. The old oil is normal and black when I drain it for changing, and there is no water in it. Anyone had this issue or know the reason for it? Chris
