Or just remove the stock shield net cost $0.00
I also have a spare shield I cut down about 1/2 way, sanded edge, scuffed with sandpaper and sprayed rubberized undercoating on it, use that when I know I plan on playing offroad alot.
If careful cutting it you can also retain the top recurved section and mount to the lower section that is bolted to the fairing so you still have the recurve but at about 1/2 height.

i see what the fuss about now
I got all my parts in today and got the carb back on a nd went for a ride I absolutely love the bike the power and handling were great ive had alot faster bikes but this one is FUN i took it offroad and street its still a little cold natured but i think i need to charge my battery after i road it and it sat for a few hours it didnt want to start jumped it off and fired right up but all in all im just tickle with it and pretty well frozen cause its cold haha KLRS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
