30mm wrench on klr

I found this replacement turn signal flasher at Autozone that claims to be a "loud" turn signal flasher. It even has a little remote kit that can be used to mount the flasher in a more audible location. Anyone ever try this little gizmo out? I wonder if it would be loud enough to hear on a moto. RM

I bought (at Pep-Boys) a "LOUD" flasher for my 73 chevy pick-up truck. Impression is that it's not loud enough to here on a motorcycle with a helmet on.

I think you'll need a three-prong flasher. I used an EP34 (Tridon-Stant) when I went to two-filament bulbs (heavier load, but I think the concept is the same). I think any solid-state/variable-load 3-prong flasher will work. The third prong is a ground, so it's easy to wire. (The stock connector will fit on the other two prongs.) Krokko -- Dr. J. Anyone know of  a good aftermarket flasher the works on the KLR with LED lights.  I would like one designed to fit in the current location.  Thanks.

The KLR uses a two prong flasher.  There is plenty of room for a larger than stock unit that can be secured with a nylon tie strap. 

The two prong type may be hard to find but the three prong type can be used if you add a ground wire to the third prong.  You can find them at just about any auto parts store.  Ask for an electronic flasher that is LED approved like the one in the link below or just buy that one.

It is a bit overpriced but it works and comes with the ground wire and good instructions.  I have this same one on my KLR.
