Ordered an Odeyssey battery from Happy Trails with a "battery tender kit." I've read from other posts that this sealed battery requires no trickle charge or very little. I guess the kit is mainly to fit the battery into the KLR sideways. I have an 05 and the original battery lasted two years and the walmart battery lasted until just a week ago. Naturally I would have a dead battery with excellent riding weather here in central Wyoming. I have managed to ride at least once a month all year round in some years but last year there was too much snow and ice to do it. I might have to get one of them fancy receiver hitch racks and load the bike up on my RV and head south for some riding.
