These days, reality has come so far around that The Onion is pretty accurate. However, I usually go to bbc.co.uk to get a picture of what's going on in the world without all of the celebrity highlights. Reason.com is also a good place to see pokes at the government. They're libertarians, so they complain regardless of which party is running the show. I tried to keep that short for the digesters who need to scroll through NKLR posts. Incidentally, NKLR stands for "No Free Lunch" (in Lithuanian); many of the people who carry historical knowledge of KLR problems would be long gone if all they read here were oil level and doohickey discussions. I think there have been attempts to start more "focused" KLR groups, but I don't know their current status. Anyone is, of course, free to start a new group on Yahoo, and see how it goes. Chris -- J. The result is refreshingly free of political and technical discussion.

I first began listening to the BBC World Service on short wave and now stream it over the web. It is where I go to get unbiased reporting because they separate their news from opinion, and they give all politicians the proper amount of scrutiny. I believe that comes from not needing to please any sponsors. Dr. K has good taste in news. albatross who has his earphones in and his KLR in pieces on the garage floor, now is that coffee or oil in that cup?

Oil mostly works faster on the bowels of the guts.

Chain replacement is probably going to be needed sometime next riding season, probably earlier then later so when I order up my winter maintenance parts I'll probably order a chain since I'll be paying shipping anyway. I've had really good luck in the past with EK chains so I think I'll get one of their X ring versions. While I was looking I saw they have a screw type master link that works like a rivit masterlink, first time I've seen one of these. I would normally use a clip type, which I can say have never failed me in the past but was considering buying the Motion Tool set needed for a rivit type link till I saw the screw type link. The cost of this link is more then twice the cost of the other links but still much cheaper then buying the Motion Tool set. Question is, has anyone tried the screw link and how did it work, see below a link to the EK site showing the link....Thanks for any feedback and have a great evening....Greg http://www.ekchain.com/access.htm
