klr650 """ obsession """

Post by Luc Legrain » Tue Oct 20, 2009 6:07 pm

Aaaah, the beautiful look of brand new, straight out of the showroom floor, PLASTICS, on a motored-cycle that you know, deep down in your belly ( let's stay above the belly button,please.. )you always wanted, the one and only KLR 651cc's ( Cubic Centimeters) , but then, slowly but surely, the dreaded "FADE" sets in, like a girl friend getting old, or me getting too old for a girl friend.I have my 651cc's anyways.... They were Aztec Red on mine, back in '05 ,but the rains, snows, hails, salts, sunny summers, took their dues, and turned my Aztec Reds into somekind of "what the heck is that ?" kind of shade, UNTIL THIS MORNING ,YES SIREEE BOB, after many nights staying up very early ,concocting, like an Alchemist some un-godly potions to revive the Reds, I got it.... I,like Shelley's doctor,REVIVED THE REDS!!! Joy!!!! Joy!! Joy!! Rantings of an '05 KLR owner that had too many Heinies because he is not working this week, you say? Poppycock I say !! Wait until you see the before and after pictures (not of my girl friend you perv.) of my OLD, NEW REDS . Cheers !!!

I would agree with Jeff, if you have poor or corroded connections the alternator will try and overcome this by putting out more. Mike H.

Also make sure the regulator is securely fastened to the frame.
