oil filler plug disaster
I have a problem with the filler cap seeming to br "stripped" some times and then other times it screws in and holds normally.
I drilled a hole in the flange of the cap and use a couple of zip ties to secure the cap to the clutch cable. Saved loosing the cap at least once so far.

Dude,
I had something similar happen to me and I got a another 500 miles by using a carved cork from a wine bottle for a filler cap. Mind you.........it wasn't exactly the same.... I added some oil at a gas station and forgot to put the cap back on. Same as you though, I was suddenly finding my right foot kept slipping off the footpeg~!
Onward.

'think'!) but from this point on, my filler plug will ALWAYS be safety
wired in some fashion. Any ideas on the clutch issue? I don't hear any
solenoid 'click' sound but the battery has plenty of juice.
TIA,
Gord
