led tail light

Post by Randy Shultz » Mon Oct 25, 2004 10:28 am

I've tried searching through the archives but what a pain... I'm trying to drop my load on the battery and increase safety at the same time. For those who purchased Dual Star's LED tail light, are you happy with your purchase? Randy

there are basically two led tail light types out there 1)cheapo that is not much bigger than the bulb 2)the large circuit board expensive one I have the large circuit board expensive one and am happy with it...real bright but expensive Either one should make you happy. The question is how much money do you want to spend?

Yes. I have mine on the medium setting, and traffic stops much further behind me than before I switched. The LED light is nearly as annoying and visible as Zack's orange helmet. :) --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Randy Shultz" wrote:

That's great Frank. I wasn't aware that it had multiple intensity settings. Yours is the Dual Star model (Brake!), right? Randy --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "frankconley" wrote:

Not intensity settings, but speed and length of flashing settings. Yes, it is the "Brake!" one form Dual-Star. Took maybe 3 minutes to install. Good stuff (though a bit expensive). --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Randy Shultz" wrote:

I also have one of those 40 LED panels that mounts under the rear tray. That thing is intense! Also for sale. Also parking/brake function. Jim

Thanks everybody. Ordered mine today. I was going to buy some hyperlites to put on my tail case, but I think I'll install this taillight first and see if I still think I need them. Looking not to get hit from behind.
