Thanks for the welcomes, everyone!
I have seen oil threads go berzerk on other lists. Just so folks know where
I stand:
Motorcycle engines get motorcycle oil. Not car oil. (as in NOT energy
conserving auto oil.)
Changed regularly along with the filter and you really cannot go wrong..
Brand and weight are up to you.
Diesel oils are a whole different ballgame. Despite the good additives and
cheaper prices,
I never had the nerve to try them when I can get my choice of bike oils at
or near cost.
Honestly, aside from a slipping clutch from extra moly content,etc...
What brand name motorcycle oil, in an approved viscosity & changed often,
has been the root cause of a catastrophic engine failure of a modern
motorcycle engine?
